Work by Lubaina is included in a new exhibition at the Bluecoat in Liverpool. Public View has been curated by Bluecoat Artistic Director Bryan Biggs. It brings together works by 100 artists who have previously exhibited there and features work from a number of high profile artists including John Akomfrah, Sonia Boyce, Jeremy Deller, John Latham, Mark Leckey, Elizabeth Magill, Yoko Ono, Lubaina Himid and Yinka Shonibare. Only a small sample of the many hundreds that have been shown but it claims to reflect something of the Bluecoat’s curatorial interests and distinctiveness.
