Counter Acts

29 November 2019 – 22 January 2020

Marking the 35th year of the Turner Prize, University of the Arts London highlights its remarkable history with the prize. Spanning four decades, Counter Acts brings together previous winners and nominees who studied or taught at the University, alongside emerging graduates. Including work by renowned artists Mona Hatoum, Isaac Julien and Jeremy Deller amongst others, the exhibition explores the function of art practice as a counter-action to dominant social, political and aesthetic structures.

Curator of International Art at Tate Modern and Central Saint Martins alum Osei Bonsu is curating the exhibition.
