Artist Talk by Lubaina Himid
with Guest Artists Mwangi Hutter, Lerato Shadi and Nancy Mteki

Lubaina Himid will talk about the research projects and archive space
based at the University of Central Lancashire “Making Histories Visible“.
Co-directed by art historian and curator Christine Eyene “Making Histories
Visible“ aims to make connections between artists, historians, curators
and the wider community. As part of the presentation, she will discuss the
materials contained in the archive as well as recent and current curatorial
projects linking emerging artists with women she has been working with
for the past 35 years. Following her talk Lubaina Himid invited artists
Mwangi Hutter, Lerato Shadi und Nancy Mteki to show their work and
discuss it at a Round Table.
